I was browsing through quilt magazines at Kroger the other day and was surprised to see this:
in this magazine
does it look familiar? well, how about a closer look:
and then compare (from my post on May 26, 2008):
make mine scrappy, turn it on point and add sashing and you've basically got the magazine quilt.
i dont know this designer but we must have been on almost the exact same wave length last spring, or something.
i'm happy to know that i can design a publishable quilt. maybe if i get some connections in the magazine world i can get one of my quilts published someday.

i took a little vacation from working on this quilt for a few months. but i have plans for it and hope to get it finished soon. i've gotten more than half of the blocks done and am really excited to see how its shaping up. i still like it better in all purples and cream.

Hmmmm you have to wonder if perhaps this designer reads your blog.

I was thinking the same thing.

Hi Erica! Whether it was a blatant case of someone with the copysies or not, what a shot in the arm!

Yours is much prettier! I love your color choices. I still haven't finished mine from the two color challenge yet either. I really need to pull that back out and get going on it. :~)

You need to keep going and believe that you can do it. I have a contract wtih Fons and Porter for a baby quilt I made to be published. When? Not sure about that but supposedly sometime soonish. Anyway if I can do it you can do it!

I love yours. I did think it was funny that the other one was posted in a magazine called Fast Quilts. That pattern does not look fast at all.

I also thought it was funny that it was in a fast quilt magazine. I love it in purple and cream. I need to do another intense quilt, I love 'um. I need to change my blog to a quilt name. Like Weezie's quilts or something. What do you think. Maybe I will ask people to vote on my blog. Ya I think I will or maybe the peeps don't care or something.

Holy cow, Erica. This is so fantastic. Who cares when it's done, thumbtack one up next to your bed and feel happy!!! You're amazing.
